

Indoor Range Soft opening in June!
Under the guidance of Kurt Peats and several members who have taken the Range Safety Officer Course (RSO) we are opening the indoor range for two days a week starting in June.
Hours of operation: Tuesdays and Thursdays 6PM until 9PM. Pending more RSOs trained and everything running smoothly, we aim to be open on weekends starting sometime in the fall.
Indoor Range fees:
$21.00 for Members for an evening.
$26.25 for Non-Members for an evening.
There will be a first time orientation. RSOs must be onsite during operation of indoor range.
Rifles and handguns in allowed calibres (as per the template available at the range).

No Black Powder firearms allowed indoors.
10 Year Plan
Our Dawson Creek Sportsman Club (DCSC) has adopted a detailed and comprehensive 10-year plan for expansion, capital acquisitions and renovations of the current facilities located Riley’s Crossing. This plan includes site security, increased accessibility, and family inclusion. Through the execution of this plan, we intend to enhance our current amenities and broaden the usability of our recreational facility year-round. Our mission, “what we are about” is to be the premier shooting facility serving northeastern British Columbia and northwestern Alberta. Specifically, the plan highlights the following upgrades or acquisitions in order to achieve these goals:

Indoor shooting range(40’ x 200’)

Upgraded living quarters for on-site security

Certified playground to enhance family activities

15-site RV park for weekend events

Creation of a competition-level biathlon course

Upgraded clubhouse, including wheelchair accessibility and covered deck for multi-season use

Large tracked skid steer for trails grooming, snow removal, etc.

Surveillance cameras for 24-7 security of property, users, and assets

A 200 yard rimfire range

Relocate the clay target ranges complete with a lead control net

Construct an archery pole building

Create a sporting clay shooting range

Provide training programs, by certified Instructors, for all members ( women and youth )
We are currently making applications for Grant funding via the various opportunities from NDIT and
the BC provincial government to assist in accomplishing our goals.
